Section 1 - Introduction

If you're caring for a loved one—whether in a retirement home, long-term care facility, or your own home—you may feel limited in what you can do. The good news is there are many simple, low-cost steps you can take to support your loved one's comfort and vitality. These strategies address often-overlooked environmental factors like wireless technology, lighting, and chemical exposure, which can add stress to already vulnerable bodies.

From personal experience helping my mother after mold exposure triggered dementia-like symptoms, and performing music therapy in care facilities for over 12 years, I've seen how these changes can make a real difference. Those with frailty (sarcopenia) or cognitive challenges are especially sensitive to modern wireless signals, poor lighting, and microbiome disruptions. Gut health links directly to brain health, so focus there too.

If physical issues dominate and mental function is strong, implementation is easier. Aim for at least five strategies from this guide. Share them with care staff to raise awareness where possible.

Section 2

Four Core Solutions For Environmental Stress...

These steps work in apartments, hospitals, or care homes. Hospital note: Skip skin applications on your loved one if they are critically ill, as they may interact with treatments - or check with their doctor.  Instead, follow the "electron transfer tip" in #4.

1. Amethyst with Shungite

[Images 1 and 2: Geode with shungite, Tumbled amethyst pieces with shungite]

This is suitable for hospitals and care homes.  In a home, Place a palm-sized amethyst geode or tumbled pieces (dark purple, good color) alongside a smaller shungite piece (black, standard quality) in key central living areas such as living room and bedroom. Use at least double the mass of amethyst to shungite (up to 5x). Place in a hospital place on bedside table or wherever possible in the room.  For a one-bedroom seniour's apartment space, position one in the living room (coffee or end table) and one in the bedroom (dresser or bedside). This simple setup helps harmonize wireless signals from WiFi, cordless phones, and devices. Available at rock shops.

2. Optimize Lighting (care home only)

LED and fluorescent bulbs emit blue light and flicker, lacking full-spectrum red/infrared frequencies essential for hormone and energy production. Replace with incandescent bulbs (which are quite full-spectrum) in living spaces. Add one red incandescent bulb near the TV (or LED red if distant). Full-spectrum options exist for both.

Daylight is ideal—take your loved one outside 30 minutes daily (no sunglasses if possible), especially mornings for red/infrared. Choose rooms with bright natural light and balcony access. In hospitals, dim unnecessary LEDs during visits.  Dr. Jack Kruse emphasizes that the red and purple light spectrum are the antidote for blue light.

In a hospital, if you loved one is awake, you can give them blue light blocking glasses to wear (buy on line) while visiting or watching TV. Daytime blue blockers have a yellow or orange lens and block 60%-90% of blue light through the eyes.  (Our skin has non visual light receptors so they are still exposed slightly via bare skin, so cover up. )

3. Shielding Jewelry

A single bracelet, pendant, or ring with balanced shielding materials (e.g., shungite, copper, gold, amethyst) protects against 95% general radiation and 88% microwaves per PKP testing. See images for examples. Wear day/night if possible. If they remove items, apply during visits or with PSW help.  Magnesium/lavender spray pairs well with the shielding jewelry (per #4).  Simply wearing amethyst with a bit of shungite in the pocket is very beneficial on it's own - about 50% shielding - but they do have to remember to put it in their pocket, and it's only for daytime. You can give them the stones in a cotton (or other natural fiber) bag.  Jewelry is preferred as they can leave it on 24/7.

4. Topical Electron Boosters (Doctor approval first)

You can use these solutions if your loved one is living in a retirement or long term care home,  or in a hospitial.  However - If you loved one is in serious condition in hospital, do not apply any of these solutions to their skin as it may interfere with medications or medical care. Use it on yourself, then use the "electron transfer" tip, below.

These topical applications raise scalar energy to boost ability to heal (per Dr. Jerry Tennant)..

  • Magnesium/Lavender Spray (3 sprays to thymus area AM/PM): 257ml magnesium spray (e.g., Bolton brand) + 30 drops organic lavender (Divine Essence).  Topical magnesium is used to help the body's electrical system to move from incoherent (from a high EMF environment) to coherent, and improve success. Magnesium is very supportive against hospital electrical equipment, wifi, monitors, etc.
  • EMF Shield Blend (apply 4 drops on Thymus AM/PM): 30ml olive oil + 8 drops oregano + 8 drops lemon.
  • Sunshine Blend (4 drops on Solar Plexus up to 3 x day during daylight hours only): 30ml jojoba + 6 drops Ceylon cinnamon bark (Divine Essence) + 2 drops lemon. This is a wonderfully immediately uplifting blend for many.  Apply in daylight hours only (between sunrise and sunset) because it has many properties of sunlight and supports circadian biology , up to 3x/day.
  • Electron Transfer Tip: Apply to yourself first. Healthy touch donates electrons to the unwell (Tennant principle). Hold their foot 10+ minutes per side (one hand under, one over). Remove your shielding jewelry during contact—one vortex per field.

The environment in a hospital is certainly not ideal - no direct sunlight, a lot of monitors and electronics, plus wifi and LED lighting.  First - harmonise their environment by following the first solution.  Place the amethyst/shungite on a table in the area of their monitoring equipment, such as their bedside table. Then, follow the 2nd and 3rd steps for yourself only.  Wear a shielding jewelry piece yourself (3rd solution), and raise your own electron/energy levels (4th solution) which will automatically transfer to them with touch - this is normal electron transfer from the healthy to the sick as described by Dr. Jerry Tennant.  It is not easy to sit with our loved ones feeling helpless, but following this simple protocol you can really make a differnce.

Keeping yourself energised can GREATLY benefit your loved one!

Use all of these topical applications on yourself to raise your own electron and scalar energy levels.  Dr. Jerry Tennant discusses "electron transfer" between living things..  When you visit your loved one - even if they are very sick - bedridden or in hospital, one of the best things you can do is donate electrons. You can restock your own supply afterwards by re-applying the magnesium and oils. If you are with them all day, you may want to do it a few times.

The best place to touch is the feet.   Our feet are designed to absorb electrons from the earth which is why our feet (and hands) sweat - this improves conductivity.  Pull a chair up to the foot of the bed, and find a comfortable position such as leaning your forearms on the bed.  "Sandwich" the person's foot in your hands...Hold one hand across under their foot, and the other over the foot - whichever way is comfortable for you.  You should be able to sit like this for hours, but do it for at least 10 minutes on each foot.   If their feet are not accessible, touch any bare skin such as the arm.

Likewise, if you are wearing a shielding piece the sick person will also receive the benefit as long as you are touching them.

NOTE: If both people are wearing a shielding piece, only one should remain on as long as you are touching. These pieces are designed to create a clockwise vortex at the skin level, and two shields worn at the same time may interfere with one another and reduce their effectiveness. When you are touching someone, you are essentially sharing one energy field in that moment, so it is best for only one person to wear a shield.

Section 3

Wireless technologies in Care Settings..

Environment is the number one priority - remove as much EMF stress from the environment as possible, (and get them outside as much as possible - natural daylight/sunlight is an antedote for indoor living).  If you mitigate with amethyst/shungite as noted above, or with a shielding piece, the effects of the following should be dramatically diminished.  Today we have continuous exposure to wireless, blue light from LED sources, bluetooth, and wifi exposure and our vulnerable seniours and sick, most already in a weakened state, do not have the capacity to physically cope with energetically overwhelming technologies.  (Dr. Jack Kruse)  Their body's biology simply has no available energy reserves to cope with the normal stressors of aging.  It inflames  thyroid issues, "aches and pains", burning, neurological inflammation, headaches, restless legs, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, reduced immune function, mood swings, vision problems, sarcopenia, bone and calcium issues, blood clotting,  and even skin rash or itchiness.

Lack of grounding (electrons) causes excess positive charge to build up in the body=inflammation. Traditional grounding means bare feet on earth/concrete/brick/stone (30 min/day) releases positive charge and restocks electrons. Balconies may work if they are plain uncoated concrete. Topical applications mentioned may be used (with Dr. approval) to simulate grounding and build healthy electron levels to combat inflammation. You can always use  "electron transfer " especially if they are bedridden - use the topicals and/or do grounding yourself,  and hold their feet/arm etc - any skin to skin contact.

Section 4

QUICK MITIGATION CHECK LIST!

Here are the most important factors to look for.

  • LED and fluorescent bulbs: change to incandescent or full spectrum (both available in full spectrum).  Try to include at least 1 red bulb near the TV. Red is the antidote for blue light, and also dilutes it. Red filters are available to cover ceiling pot lights.
  • Microwave: Unplug or replace with toaster oven; keep 10ft away from seating.
  • Digital Displays: Remove/relocate clocks, thermometers. Use analog faces.
  • Cordless Phones: Switch to corded if jacks exist. Add 3-hole gold dot resonators (Biomagnetic Research, USA) to unavoidable ones.
  • Router/TV Box: Place wood barrier (e.g., wood doorstop wedge) in front. Red bulb nearby.
  • Help Buttons: Wrist preferred over chest - wear a shielding pendant; keeping it off-body is ideal (on a walker).
  • Hearing Aids: Non-Bluetooth only.
  • Watches: Avoid batteries/smartwatches; use wall or traditional hand clocks.

Section 5

Other Environmental Factors

Fabrics: Polyester/acrylic drain electrons, worsen pain/radiation sensitivity. Choose cotton, bamboo, wool, silk, nylon/spandex. Natural sleepwear/bedding.

Water: Countertop filter (Santévia) remineralizes after removing chemicals/plastics. Available in health food stores. Drop a piece of raw aquamarine (rock shops) in the bottom of the filter to help neutralise fluoride.

Chemicals: Nature Clean unscented laundry + vinegar softener. Dr. Bronner's baby soap for hands - Limit sanitizers (Dr. Mercola explains how they are absorbed through the skin, and sanitise/disrupt the microbiome).

Section 6

Retirement Home Living:  Clearing and Energising the living space

There are a few simple Feng Shui related "energising strategies" that you can use to enhance the energy of their living space.

  • Vinegar Spray: 1:2 vinegar:water. Mist air, fabrics, corners for energetic detox. Add 1 1/2 cups white vinegar to Laundry too.  Spray the room thoroughly, up and down corners, under tables, extra attention to antiques or older unpainted wooden furniture, which carry a lot of stressful energy.
  • Amethyst/Shungite: At least 2 locations, as above.
  • Snake Plant ("Sanseveria", All-Green variety): Bedroom + living area; white pots. Improves air (NASA) and harmonises energy of the space.
  • Rose Quartz + Selenite: Bedside/end table for calming frequency.  Use it touching a piece of selenite to keep it clear and "low maintence".  (most rocks typically have to be cleared as they absorb stress.).
  • Photos: Children under 5 only (high, pure energy). This could include photos of yourself or themselves under 5.

Section 7

Exercise, Kaatsu bands

  • Combat sarcopenia with Kaatsu (Japan). Arm/leg bands cycle gentle pressure 20-30 min, 3-7x/week. Builds fast-twitch muscle even bedridden. 104-year-old case regained speech/mobility. See kaatsu.ca (air tube, no Bluetooth). Share cost with residents.
  • Many residences offer "chair yoga" and other exercise classes - encourage your loved one to participate as this improves at the very least flexibilty, balance, and circulation.

Section 8

DIET and NUTRITION

Always check with their doctor before taking new supplements as some interfere with medications.

Priority supplements - Topical applications, Omega 3 fish oil, 1 x day with food (Carlsson Super Omega 3), turmeric blend, vitamin D optional (it's not a replacement for sunlight - there are 12 other vitamin D like hormones/compounds that are NOT in supplements.  (Dr. Kruse))

  • Turmeric Blend: 3T turmeric + 1.5T ginger + 1tsp pepper (organic). 1 capsule 2x/day.  Fill 00 gelcaps, or mix equal parts with raw creamed honey.  I suggest 3T each (add a little water if too thick - it should be a paste), store in a glass jar. Take 1tsp 2 x day - this also acts as a quick energiser or "pick me up" and tastes yummy/sweet.
  • Topicals:  Magnesium/lavender spray and blends As in Section 2.
  • Fridge Staples: Broccoli microgreens, goat mozzarella + rice crackers, frozen wild berries, tart cherry juice (1:2 water).  Seniours tend to love cookies, but most are not healthy choices.  Two exceptions are Nairns Ginger cookies, and Tates Gluten Free ginger cookies (uses butter, not oil).

Make a Cranberry compote as a dessert snack with blueberries:  1 package frozen organic cranberries + ½ cup maple syrup, 1/2 cup water, simmer 2 minutes.

  • Power Herbs :  Make up 2 bottles and leave one on their dining table with their name on it.  It will improve the quality and energy of meals, and help to digest fats properly.  (bad oils are commonly used.) Use organic herbs only.

2 parts oregano + 1 each sage/thyme/parsley + ¼ pepper. Season meals liberally.

NOTE:  Cook veggies in room kettle with herbs/salt.

Summary

Do your best to reduce stress in the environment so the body doesn't have to waste energy compensating for needless stressors.

Long term, get your loved one into the habit of regular grounding and sunlight exposure, especially early morning.  Give them blue blocking glasses for watching TV - available on line with presecription.
